I so often see posts on here from solitary people in London who don't have a friendship group and want to know how to meet people. A tough subject but there's a monthly event called London Reels, near Victoria, where around 300 friendly people mostly aged 20 – 35 participate in a group dance called Reeling. It's a bit like a Ceilidh, really easy and with instructions given. Starts tonight Tue 17/09, at 6:45pm (but be early as once hall hits 300 people, it's 1 in and 1 out). It's is a charity/community event, £9 for hall hire & fundraising, includes wine.

Hope this post is allowed. I'm not involved in any way connected to the event/organisers, just been a few times and think it's an ideal way for lonely people to meet new people.

Maybe post it on /r/LondonSocialClub too – won’t get buried in other posts there?
Is it out one, in one, shake it all about one?
This is line dancing isn’t it?… You don’t get me that easily
“Oh, sorry about that, new friend! It was the wine and the reeling. I’m sure that’ll wash out.”
