In a statement on X after the event, the White House spokesperson, Andrew Bates, posted: At the Shanksville Fire Station, @POTUS spoke about the country’s bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that’. Bates added: ‘As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it’

  1. He is free from the strings. "I've got no strings to hold me down, to make me fret or make me frown. I had strings but now I'm free, there are no string on me~"

  2. Growing up, people from different political parties used to debate issues in a civil manner and put politics aside for common ground. Nowadays, it's nothing but insults, aggression, and the whole "with us or against us" mentality that has done nothing but divide us.

  3. It may be a small gesture, but it’s the greatest gesture of unity I have seen in a long while. You can hate the man, but you have to respect this moment. Very powerful
