Outgoing Nato secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg tells The Times that Putin is becoming increasingly beholden to President Xi of China for the sake of his war in Ukraine. Defence editor Larisa Brown says CIA and MI6 chiefs will be “looking closely” at any intelligence that suggests China could could be supplying Russia with weapons.

  6. Want to "Trump proof" NATO? Have each country spend the agreed upon 2% of GDP at a minimum on their militaries. Too many freeloaders (looking at you, Germany, Italy, and France) expecting the US to protect them without the ability to reciprocate.

  26. I'm no fan of Putin but the truth is he wanted peace talks early on. It was the US that wants world leaders to dance to their tune. Also Boris the buffoon scuppered the last attempt. Western media is full of propaganda

  33. So we know that China is helping Russia, and yet we sit around DEBATING how much we should help Ukraine. Two years of DEBATING and RUNNING SCARED. It does not matter how big our economies are and how advanced our weapons are – if we don't have the WILL to win.
