Because everyone is at work ALL the time. Where else would you have time?
Of the four “serious” relationships I’ve had throughout my life, two of those were met at work. It’s easy to form bonds when you spend so much time together.
If we had another place where people spent more time than work interacting with a mostly consistent but also slowly changing population of other people, that place would be the #1 place to meet your match.
Turns out you date and marry people that you spend time hanging out with. Phenomenal insight there.
Yikessssssss I would 100000% never date someone I worked with , this might be a boomer thing. Mixing work and personal life is a huge No.
I’ve done [a lot ](https://mappage.net.au)with Australian census data. They make it fairly easy to get what you want, although I’ve done thing at a large enough scale that I wish they had an API to make it easier.
I just have a free account, so I can’t get any combination of census variables like you can with a Pro account. Getting the occupations of two partners might be possible with a Pro account or might require a separate request to the ABS.
The ABC generally handle statistics well compared to other media outlets here. This one is particularly well done.
