I’ve been hearing for a while that Ukraine had essentially cut off thousands of soldiers before the Seym river, did they close the pocket? I can’t find any information regarding that, wouldn’t they already be all out of supply?
Probably not closed – it’s a very fluid field environment but this latest move certainly blunted Russia’s retaking of the battlefield. The new conscription effort to rebuild capacity is further evidence of Russia’s degraded status.

Honestly keeping it open also wouldn’t be a bad idea, reinforcements will be chocked up on these as well as retreating forces
