Hi all!
I just moved to Germany and I was wondering what the name of this (first picture) socket is.
I just got the Vodafone internet package and was curious if I can connect my modem via here to have internet. Does it have to be via the other port (second picture).
The reason I want my modem connected (if possible) to the first socket is because it is much closer to my PC and I want to connect it via ethernet cable and not WiFi.

Why people so often first get their internet contract and then check where they can connect their modem?

Second one is for cable internet (and cable tv).
The first is called a Festnetzanschluss for the internet the second is Satellitenanschluss
