The world should prepare for a long war in Ukraine. The Russian aggression will not end in 2024 or 2025, the Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans is convinced. According to him, Russia has enough military power to fight a long and intense war.
Western and armchair predictions about Russia’s ability have been second only to the 3 day special military operation in their misjudgement.
Don’t get me wrong I want Russia to be crushed… but for all our economic and technical prowess we certainly don’t know shit about how long Russia will last. To myself when such a breathtaking miscalculation is measured in Ukrainian lives, that’s an unacceptable miscalculation that has possibly driven our unacceptably piecemeal aid approach to Ukraine.
The West can’t fight its industrial shell production out of a fukn wet paper bag and that’s the truth nobody wants to accept.
All the more reason to shorten Ruzzia’s ability to wage war by a TOTAL embargo on Ruzzia, so NOTHING in or out including trade goods or people. Bottle those fuckers up until they blow.

What caused Russia to pull out of Afghanistan? They had a lot invested in that war and suddenly pulled out. Could the same thing cause them to pull out of Ukraine?
