Trudeau “fully-supports” Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles against Russia

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada “fully supports” Ukraine using long-range weaponry against Russia.

Ukraine has been using western long-range missiles on occupied territory for months, but Russian territory has been off limits — a major reason being that it could lead to further escalation.

However some western countries are now supporting the idea of Ukraine hitting high value targets inside Russia.

Russian president Vladimir Putin told reporters on Thursday that if western nations allow Ukraine to use their long-range weapons on Russia, it will mean NATO countries are at war with Russia.

Despite this, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada fully supports Ukraine using long-range weaponry. “Canada and others are unequivocal, that Ukraine must win this war against Russia, and we will continue to be there to support Ukraine.”

“Canada fully supports Ukraine using long rage weaponry to prevent and interdict Russia’s continued ability to degrade Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and mostly to kill innocent civilians in their unjust war,” he added.

Meanwhile U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer paid a visit to Washington on Friday to discuss next steps in supporting Ukraine with President Joe Biden.

Although the U.S. has signalled support, officials have said Biden is not expected to immediately sign off on allowing U.S. provided missiles to be launched on targets inside Russia.

  3. I see the Russian Comrades are on here in force. A gentle reminder, Putin has made over a dozen red lines in the past two years. For example, Tomohawk Missailes, Amrams, F16s, Germain Tanks, Finland/Norway joining Nato. The list is very long and yall still fall for his saber rattling.

  8. I didn't vote for him and neither would I but I fully support our efforts for Ukraine. Reminds me of the appeasement to Hitler. He could have been easily defeated early on, but no. Bullies don't play fair.
    When the Russian submarines show up in Hudson Bay are our European allies going to say they are far away, it's not our problem, too much money etc.

I hate Trudeau, I’m Canadian but I understand why he wants Russia to lose so badly and you all should too as Canadians because if Russia ever makes an attack on US soil it’s going to be Alaska that they hit first and we don’t want to be caught in a crossfire later when we can end one side of this fight now

  23. They need Ukraine to win because if they lose they won’t be able to payback all the debt in military and other support Ukraine has taken .
    It’s simply about money down the drain if they lose.
    If Ukraine wins will they will be paying for generations to the west !
    Putin would rather leave a radioactive waste land to the breadbasket of Europe.

  30. He might supports Ukraine using long range missiles against Russia but who / and what will protect Canadian population if Russia hits back with a nuclear ballistic missile ? Canada has no missile defense systems , military / navy / air force in shambles evrithing outdated ! But Justin and his family( and the parliamentarians ) will have room in one of the nuclear bunkers of Ottawa ! Most of Canadians not supporting NATO's efforts to arm Ukraine against Russia !

    THE BANKS. Guess who won’t? So, you save some money on your mortgage in the short run, but don’t worry. The rest will be consumed by higher taxes, carbon taxes, increased healthcare costs, higher grocery bills, higher utility bills and just about everything else.
