  1. Context:

German chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has been a prime subject in Germany’s *two* biggest financial scandals (CumEx & Wirecard). His adamant position before taking office has been “memory gaps”. Since taking office, Scholz has been actively (ab)using his power to block further investigation ([Spiegel Newspaper](https://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/soziales/wirecard-und-cum-ex-finanzministerium-verweigert-herausgabe-von-scholz-kontakten-a-6ce26e4b-95f7-4eea-acc3-29b230174000)). Which lead to the frustrated resignation of the former lead investigator.

With the elections coming up next year and the polls not being in favor of the SPD, Scholz & his government took a step further: Reducing the responsibility to store tax data by multiple years. While tax related crime, in theory, can prosecuted for 15 years, the regulatory change will allow the legal destruction of corresponding evidences after 8 years – which conveniently covers Scholz’ own legal troubles ([Tagesschau](https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/innenpolitik/buerokratieentlastungsgesetz-100.html)).

  2. Olol Scholol only won the election because one guy rofled at a flood catastrophe site and the other candidate wrote a book full of plagiarisms.

  3. As always Hans copy our deranged ways of politics (see Berlusconi and many other).

  4. Wait! That’s not a Spanish exclusive? I thought Berlusconi paid a license to us for being like that.

  5. And now we are in the typical Dilemma of german politics. On one hand we have Olaf and on the other hand we have our middle-class fotzenfritz (sad noises that the fotzenfritz.de side is offline now)

  6. Hint and tip: olaf must go to jail as soon as possible, and arrest and interrogare everyone suspect immediatly.

It’s the only way to destroy the corruption

  7. I mean, mutter Merkel is the architect of German economic, financial and immigration crisis and Germans where so thankful of her leadership and so proud of her when she resigned it was pathetic.

SHE NEVER WAS INVOLVED IN ANY CONTROVERSY AND STILL LIVES IN THE SAME HOUSE AAAAA DANKE MERKEL #REFUGEESWELCOME

  8. The German government has always been pretty corrupt, we’re just a lot better at pretending.

  9. Also legalized weed, increased minimum wage and is keeping us the biggest supporters of Ukraine in Europe.

    Nice try, conservative psy-ops guy.

  10. Honestly, I rather have him than The only Bad thing that ever came from the Sauerland and King Maggus of House Söder, First of His name, king of the Bayern and… you get the idea.

  11. With no Bungen Bungen scandal it’s just a Temu version of the original

  12. He’s just a bunga bunga and a football club and own of all of the main media outlet away from winning history

  13. I always forget this guy is German chancellor, amazing super power to be absolutely unremarkable

  14. What do you expect? SPD is one of the most dangerous parties in Germany nowadays. Just look at that Antifa b***h Faeser

  15. Weak and pittyfull.

José Sócrates did it so much better.

  16. What a cute lil guy, look at that little button nose. who could be mad at that smile?
