Fuse Pharmacy chain made it public that they and the Bwell chain are forced to limit opening hours because the pharmacy lobby intervened and pressured the minister into a decree limiting patient-friendly opening times.

Cypriot bros, do something. Phone your MP – patient care should not be an arbitrary decree but voted on properly by parliament.

  1. I swear every time I need something they’re closed anyway, you’re saying it’s gonna be worse? Fuck me

  2. Almost every street has a pharmacy. If they want they can manage so everytime there is at least an open one. But no, this is too complicated for this country also.

  3. There are always “night” pharmacies open until 10pm daily. This ensures fairer distribution of customers and workload and promotes competitiveness (in theory).

There is nothing wrong with the decision. As per the provision of Article 146 of the Constitution, the “Supreme Constitutional Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate finally on a recourse made to it on a complaint that a decision, act or omission of any organ, authority or person exercising any executive or administrative authority is contrary to any of the provisions of this Constitution or of any law or is made in excess or in abuse of powers vested in such organ or authority or person.”

As such, the pharmacies appealed to the wrong court.

  4. hmm i gotta side with the small folk on this one and totally agree instead of a franchise that takes advantage of people. Sorry wont be phoning anyonem They are doing good to stand up gor thenselves

  5. No it shouldn’t be voted by parliament. Everyone should open whenever they want. It is preposterous to force people to close their businesses.

  6. What a retarded policy for pharmacies and banks. People literally have to take an off to go there.

  7. Pharmacies should be like the bakeries. Open 24 hours.

It’s for the good of public health and eases pressure on the healthcare system
