Major news on the Myanmar front:
Due to the Typhoon Yagi floods, there’s been a pause in much of the fighting. However, groups like the Kachin Independence Army are still shooting because their areas are not flooded.

The MNDAA also [confirmed ](https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/myanmar-china-watch/mndaa-refuses-to-work-with-myanmars-civilian-government.html)that they will not fight the junta anymore, except in “self-defense,” nor will they ally with the National Unity Government/PDF and “communities opposing China and Myanmar. Meanwhile the other two armed groups in the Three Brotherhood Alliance ([TNLA ](https://www.taangland.org/category/local-news/66ec298a1d4ac)and AA) still intend to attack the junta until it’s gone.
