Gary Neville: “If Arsenal doesn’t win EPL or UCL, then they can forget about going down in history. That’s harsh but the reality of elite sport. There will be no Netflix documentaries & never be feted or admired. They will be dismissed as nearly men. History is unforgiving of those who fall short”

True
They’ll be mentioned once we get the documentary off the 115 charges towards Man City
Yep fair enough
Honestly… I can’t disagree. If you’re first, you’re first. If you’re second, you’re nothing. That’s just the reality
I would do without a Netflix documentary but yea agree with pretty much the rest, our fans will remember some of our brilliant players but the team as a whole will be forgotten by everyone else until we win something of worth, but quite hard to win the EPL against the 115 giants, they just don’t get worse anymore only better every season
The history of football is written by those who payed the most.
Honestly who gives a toss.
He’s right but the game is so far away from reality it’s becoming a simulation.
Netflix documentary is a weird thing to comment on, seeing as the most popular club documentaries on streaming platforms are about Sunderland and Wrexham.
Ah yes, because people are totally gonna remember Gary Neville for his footballing prowess and not for his shitty punditry
So why was their a theatre show created around Southgate 😂?
He’s right
I disagree. The documentary, Arsenal: The Art of the Bottle, would be a phenomenal watch
It’s going to happen very soon I think.
I grew up watching some great Liverpool teams that ultimately fell short before Klopp arrived and he’s not wrong unfortunately
Gary Neville hates Arsenal and takes every chance he can to shit on us. I have absolutely no respect for his opinion.
The current Arsenal team if they dont win will go down in history as one of the clubs that fell short of overcoming 115FC and their cheating.
Their team is young and still adding players for depth!! FFS, even Klopp, who had a great team, won 1 CL and 1 PL!!
I agree with him I love this team and want them to win trophies but if your not 1st you’re last.
Just because the snivelling teachers pet said it doesn’t make it wrong.
I mean he is right. History, Legacy and Immortality belongs to the winners, not the almost-winners. Plain and simple.
How does history remember people who talk a big game, try their hand at it, fail embarrassingly and then go back to slagging off those that can do it?
For talent: Jimmy Greaves > Geoff Hurst
For place in history: Geoff Hurst > Jimmy Greaves
