Looks like they were maybe taking some small arms fire before they decided to retreat to their hole, but not soon enough.  That one idiot, going going full Rambo without a helmet is lucky he didn’t get domed, ironically, the other guy he crawled over must have taken most of the impact, when he lost his own helmet along with his life.
