  1. This would be much more informative if you used raw numbers instead of percentages. Are youtube ad impressions taking market share from search? Are both increasing? Are both declining but at different rates? Impossible to tell from this right now.

  2. Stacked bar plots will almost never be “beautiful”.

Why not just show the increase of impressions on YouTube alone instead of normalizing it to other irrelevant platforms? Did search impressions shrinks, grow or remain unchanged? No way to tell from this plot.

  3. Mentioning YouTube Shorts is interesting. You will get a ton more ad impressions (not watch time) scrolling through 10 minutes of shorts compared to watching a 10 min video

  4. I wonder if this coincides with googles introduction of AI. The first few search results were almost always ads, now the space of the first few search results is usually the AI answer

  5. Did you really have to use two almost identical shades of orange? Also fuck that shitty caption

  6. this is a bad ad cause your graph is absolutely useless without any actual numbers. for all your chart shows google’s search ads might have doubled in volume every single year.

also your sales tool website is riddled with spelling errors, was it bad AI or outsourced to non-native speakers?

  7. This data doesn’t pan out at all with Alphabet’s reported revenue. Where did you actually get this from?

  8. Google has made it harder to remove/skip ads on youtube
