Winter war round two would be a catastrophe for Russia even more than the first. Back then Russia had the technological lead but this time the russians have gone backwards 100 years and the Finns forward 100 years.

Finland has production lines on standby that can be switched on on short notice, pumping out military equipment. Bridges near the eastern border are built to be blown up. Every avenue of attack has been pre-sighted for artillery (which is strongest in Western Europe). There are bunkers everywhere. One Finnish officer commented on Russian military, after observing their performance in Ukraine: ”if they tried to invade Finland, they would never make it out alive.”
I was just in Finland visiting family. One of my brothers in law is kinda higher up in the military. Without giving specifics, he explained to me how the Finnish military has been preparing for 80+ years for this exact situation. They have been ready for quite a while to repel any threat from russia. Living right next to them, Finland knows full well what kind of neighbors they have. Not only can they very quickly recall a million people, but they are currently building joint US bases all along the border to deal with any threat they may face. In short, fuck around and find out. It’s all fun and games until the bushes start speaking Finnish.
