And found this graffiti made by soldiers stationed there. The house is on the coast so I imagine it was used as a lookout. These was found in the loft that leads to a small viewing area.

It might be worth reaching out to a local history society to share the photos and info
Fantastic! If that’s not been recorded, it’s worth at least it getting noted.
Bruh page 4 is the inspiration for Dragon Age Veilguard [character creation](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bOSeqtO8lco&t=10m45s)
Incredible. Could try to notify a local news reporter to do a story and see if they can find any of the veterans family members.
Essex regiment? That’s soldiering.
Contact Historic England or the local council archaeologist, they’ll likely to be interested
Post in Essex as well someone might recognise someone on the wall
Where is this please?
I think the third picture was written by cricketer Peter Smith, he played for Essex cricket club (Essex CC 1939) and was a second lieutenant in the Essex regiment during the war (Essex Reg 1942). He played 4 tests for England and 465 first class matches. I think you could send this to Essex CCC they might be interested in this bit of history of one of their club legends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Smith_%28English_cricketer%2C_born_1908%29?wprov=sfla1
Love this. Reminds me of the ceiling in the RAF bar (basically the back room) of the Eagle pub in Bene’t Street, Cambridge. The airmen used candles to write their names etc in soot on the ceiling.

When we stripped the wallpaper off one of the bedroom walls, we found pencil drawings of WWII planes. Wish we could,d have preserved them but the plaster was crumbling.

I would really recommend contacting the imperial war museum about this
