Polish man living in UK since childhood granted 11th-hour deportation reprieve

1. The UK immigration service is a truly amazing organisation, it gets closer to deporting random Poles and West Indians who haven’t entirely sorted out their paperwork than it ever does with dozens if not hundreds of convicted foreign criminals and thousands of illegal immigrants.

   It is an almost perfect example of the modern British malaise of taking on easy targets and never actually doing anything about the things that really bother the majority of people.
