  1. He’s so fucking good. I figured he’d need a season to adjust as is usual, but he just knows where to be with and without the ball. Such a hard-working but clever player. Once he starts banging in the goals he’s going to be a force.

  2. Savio sliced right through their “world class” defense. Pity, we could’ve scored way more goals.

  3. That pivot from the wing to cut inside and release Haaland for the first goal was masterful. I hope he keeps that in his toolkit because that is the stuff of nightmares for other teams.

Can we just take a minute to remember that Savinho has been with the team for just a few months? Incredible.

  4. I love how his first touch always takes the ball away from the defender. He’s more dynamic than most players, who normally have to receive the ball at their feet and then figure out the next move. You see many young wingers with great technical ability and pace, but never with the level of cleverness and composure Savinho showed against Arsenal. Hope he smashes it this season!

  5. Rico Lewis phasing out Walker’s gonna bring a new feeling to that right side. Maybe not better but fresh.

  6. It’s crazy how he adapts so quickly. Not even attacking, but also defensively. I guess I stereotyped him a bit, as Brazilian wingers are not very known for tracking back all the way to defend properly. He surprised me, covered Walker numerous times during this game and against Brentford.

There is room for improvement, needs to pratice crossing/shooting with his right foot, clearly he prefers his left and that will become predictable, unless he summons his inner Robben lol.
