I personally liked him a lot and would see him as a great replacement for Ter Stegen until he recovers. I’d be a free signing obviously, and I also believe he wouldn’t ask for exorbitant wages.

I’m aware of the comments he made after he left the club, but I see that as criticism about Bartomeu’s bad administration than about the club it self.

What do you all think?

  1. Just a reminder that Dani Alves joined us 2 seasons ago and played some Cameos and left without making any fuzz. He was 38 that time.

  2. He said it half jokingly, he’s 41. But watch his Copa America games for Chile this summer, he was actually Chiles best player 😂

  3. 40y.o. Bravo is better than any Pena but it is because Pena has no play time at all. And now even Bravo doesn’t have play time. It is just really nice to hear from him, but let’s focus on active players right now. Last time we brought someone who was 40, he ended up being rapist.

  4. I’d prefer him over Peña, and I think Astralaga is just too young to shoulder the responsibility of being the no1 keeper

Of course Szczęsny would be the best option, but I don’t think he’ll sign

But maybe Peña can do something similar to what Lunin did last season, we’ll see

  5. He may actually be a good fit!

His last La Liga match is from 10 months ago. He played in 7 matches for Real Betis last season, conceding only 5 goals during that run albeit against teams from the bottom of the table. He then injured his hamstring and upon his return, he was relegated to the back-up role.

  6. Idk about Bravo but I’d certainly be happy if Wojtek Szczesny decided to delay his retirement in our favour

  7. I don’t think Bravo was great after he left Barca, but I also don’t think Peña is good enough to start either. It’s a real catch 22 situation.

  8. I think Barca should get him. But his relationship with MATS isn’t good, so the contract should be for this season only.

  9. This is Pepe Reina career with 42 years:

    F. C. Barcelona “B” (1999-00)
    F. C. Barcelona (2000-02)
    Villareal C. F. (2002-05)
    Liverpool F. C. (2005-14)
    → S. S. C. Napoli (2013-14)
    Bayern de Múnich (2014-15)
    S. S. C. Napoli (2015-18)
    A. C. Milan (2018-20)
    → Aston Villa F. C. (2019-20)
    S. S. Lazio (2020-22)
    Villareal C. F. (2022-24)
    Como 1907 (2024)

So we can have Claudio Bravo for a few months.

  10. I’m team ter Stegen and really can’t understand the criticism he was getting prior to his injury. But he is not as good as he was 4-5 seasons ago, and I fear that this injury will set him back further.
So I’d rather get a keeper that could replace ter Stegen or at least give him some competition. Valles could be that guy.

  11. The irony of this. He was starter. MATS was crying about not playing. So Bravo was sold. 10 years later we don’t want MATS and he’s injured, and we’re hoping Bravo unretires to replace MATS. All for it. 2 of our last treble winners

  12. if we sign him as a backup to help mentor the younger players I think that it would be good.
