Are great white sharks appearing in Irish waters?

A team of researchers is hoping to turn unconfirmed sightings of great white sharks in Irish waters into reality.

US non-profit research organisation Ocearch is cautiously optimistic that great whites do indeed haunt the waters around Ireland and Britain.

They’re aiming to create history by finding one off the southwest coast of Ireland.

  1. If anyone had ever found a great white anywhere near britain or ireland theyd have preserved the jaws even if it was 500 years ago cos it wouldve been such n oddity n fascinated people, todays people want to make their own mark on history, they arent satisfied with the known facts n see fame n wealth if they can just disprove all known history or wisdom, i know where they should look next, the north pole, to even suggest the irish of the past thousand years didnt know what was in their own waters is offensive, theyre n island people, masters of the sea, nearly as accomplished as the british, imo.

  2. shark come to the nearest man, that man he starts poundin’ and hollerin’ and sometimes that shark he go away… but sometimes he wouldn’t go away.

Sometimes that shark looks right at ya. Right into your eyes. And the thing about a shark is he’s got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, he doesn’t even seem to be livin’… ’til he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then… ah then

  3. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY….THIS IS A PUBLICITY STUNT AND THEY KNOW IT!

THERE IS ZERO EVIDENCE OF GREAT WHITES IN UK OR IRISH WATERS, NO SEAL PREDATION OR SIGN OF INJURY, NO SIGHTINGS BY FISHERMEN WHO ARE CHUMMING FOR FISH, NO WHITE SHARKS ACCIDENTALLY NETTED BY COMMERCIAL TRAWLING VESSEL'S 😂😂

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING….

BUT HEY…..LETS SPEND MILLIONS AMBLING UP AND DOWN OUR WATERS FINDING NOWT!😂😂

    BLESS ❤

  4. I’m an Englishmen and always been interested in sharks and the prospect of them being closer to home.
I’d like to see a video on why they wouldn’t be in this area as appose to why they should.
The lack of evidence suggests that this would be a logical way to go imo

  5. The only way to find or lure a great white is to tow a dead beached whale out a few miles of the coast and anchor it.then place remote cameras filming what comes to feed.a great white could pick up the scent a 100 miles away and follow it to the carcass if they are present.

  6. It's due to the climate change. It's so bad now that the oceans are boiling dry and billions are dying every year. It's an unprecedented crisis.

  7. My favourite part of Ireland now possibly with my favourite shark. No doubt if the seals are found by Great Whites they will come stay and bred. That will produce another tourist avenue of 'Shark Tours'. Amazing!
