US Weekly publishes a counter story to the Hollywood Reporter one.

  1. Now we wait for Hollywood Reporter to name their “sources”

Meghan’s former staff and current staff going on the record with names attached including the man who left in august, I think they’ve had enough of these rumors and I’m glad they challenging it.

  2. Isn’t the Catherine St Laurent quoted in the US Weekly magazine, the same one THR said left them because they never paid Sunshine Sachs despite Sunshine Sachs going on the record saying that it was a mutual parting?

Ben Browning left after the docu series aired, I’m guessing he fulfilled his contract.

Is that a quote from the same Josh Kettler that people are claiming Meghan made cry because he left after 3 months in their employ?

And look at Mandana who did her job and went back to her role in the political world?

I keep hearing about 12 anonymous sources and sworn affidavits, I look forward to hearing from the Sussex Survivor Club with a rebuttal or them coming forward to tell us of their experiences working for the Sussexes.

I’m sure they all have thrilling tales to tell and justice must be done.

  3. The mention of a contract helps maybe make sense why H&M have a high turnover rate. It could very well be that their contracts only last for 1-2 years, even if the employees have an option to renew. Not every job needs to last longer than that, much less forever.

  4. So it’s she said vs he said, she said, she said, he said, she said, she said, he said, she said, she said, he said, they said etc.

If it quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck, it’s probably a duck.

  5. I think the THR article was bad for them. While article was mainly rehash of old stuff, it being in an entertainment industry paper was what made it bad. Stories like that are often squashed by WME and that did not happen either.

  6. this rebuttal is very interesting because everyone went on records with their names, so I’m assuming they had the approval for M&H to do so. Like that one article with 5 of Meghan’s friends years ago.

I dont think Meghan or Harry ordered their colleagues to do this but it’s definitely with their support. So now we know which side Us Weekly is on!

  7. I’m glad M&H are defending themselves! The THR article was such a random hit piece. It’s crazy how lucrative it is to bash the Sussexes. The piece is still the third most popular on the site almost two weeks after it was published. Meanwhile, the nice piece they ran about Kate a couple days ago didn’t make the top five stories.

  8. I have had a terrible boss. I can confirm some people in my industry had a good experience with her. Others did NOT. My experience was absolutely terrible with her. Depends on position, expectations, what is going on in that boss’s life and whether they are able to have some emotional regulation…

    I don’t know….all things can be true.

  9. US Weekly ? Out of all the credible media outlets they go to US weekly to counter claims by Hollywood Reporter

  10. I think Harry and Meghan are as bad as bosses as most of Hollywood and other rich people. I don’t think they’re evil or vindictive people but I think they’re arrogant and have egos just like any of the other royals do and any other celeb.

The only thing I’ve found questionable with the allegations was saying it was a “smear” campaign and this was the palace leaking against them. We’ve moved on from leaking and planting to blaming “disgruntled staff”. Or it could just be that people were pissed off for whatever xyz reason and went to the press.

Anyways I have so many thoughts now about this US weekly piece and the last US weekly piece. I didn’t post it here because it was US weekly but it’s now under a new editor (former editor of PEOPLE) and seems like the last cover story was in fact authorized and collaborated on by the Sussexes.

  11. For me one thing always stands out is that they never sued over this, because of all the things that were reported about Meghan, this is the most damaging one.

Good Morning America interviewed Valentine Low, where he said his allegations, Harry appeared with them twice after that

THR wrote their article, and instead of sending legal letters and getting them to backtrack (if it were false), THR doubled down and H&M sent some of their staff to US Weekly to defend them
