  1. Hart. But Eddie is very 2nd close.

Edit. In my opinion obviously. I can see why people would pick Eddie with the treb.

  2. Joe Hart was a better shot stopper than Ederson. However if we factor in EVERYTHING then obviously Ederson wins.

  3. Joe Hart currently holds the joint record for most golden gloves at 4, so I think it has to be him.

  4. Bert Trautmann. He did so much for the club, modern goalkeeping, influential to Gordan Banks.

Over 500 appearances, OBE, played with a broken neck.

Prisoner of war, to club legend.

There is literally no question of this outcome.

And my Dad was the first person to shake his hand at his testimonial match after the whistle.

  5. I’m the biggest Ederson Defender yes he might not be the greatest shot stopper in the world but god is he good on the ball and sweeping. I love Ederson and he really set the benchmark for how good GK have to be with the ball at their feet.

  6. Bert Trautmann, but honourable mention to Frank Swift who also played for England and died in the Munich Air Disaster as he was covering the match as a journalist for the News of the World.

  7. Trautmann was the best goalkeeper *for* city.

The best goalkeeper to ever play for city would be schmiechel or hart.

    Ederson close 2nd behind Joe

  8. Ederson. Trautmann is a legend but he didn’t win 6 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, and a CL.

  9. Bert Trautmann is the answer.
Then probably Corrigan, Ederson and Hart.
I once met Joe Corrigan at my local pub and he’s about 6’6” and I’m 5’5”
I said ‘Hey Big Joe can I get a picture?’
‘Sure!’ He said ‘Can you stand up?’
I was standing… the picture was awesome!
