r/soccer is straight up an anti-City propaganda sub now. They want Etihad to be loud for a match and a tournament that the club and fans haven’t given a fuck about for a few years now. The mods of course allow these narrative driven posts because they want that. The sub’s gone.

  1. Let’s also not forget that they ban people with City flairs for the same joke that’s cracked by red cartel fans.

  2. I almost don’t post there anymore. When I do I’m reminded why. If you just look at my post history there yesterday for stating the fact that we had 3 players booked for crowding the ref and Arsenal didn’t when they did it after the red, it’s just relentless downvotes. When I brought it up it was just a fact that I deserve downvotes for supporting city no matter what I say. Madness.

Just don’t get baited by anything and stay subbed for goal highlights. That’s my Reddit goal for that sub.

  3. Meh I’ve seen people take pictures of the away section when we’re up by 5, being empty and pass it off as “man city can’t fill their stadium” multiple times in the past few years. They have a clear bias and it makes that sub unusable as a city fan.

The real question should we care really? They’re going to hate on city weather is warranted or not. If there’s a community of people that’s shitting on me or something I like, the only way to “win” is to ignore it and go about your business.

And as for anyone lurking in this sub waiting to get their hit piece on soccer circle jerk, worry about your own club sweetheart. Aren’t you tired hate watching oilchester city win 4 league titles in a row with a treble in the middle?

The reason why the Etihad is empty is because the fans are busy living in your heads rent free.

For anyone worrying about losing out on information about football, you’re much better off unfollowing r/soccer and following accounts like The Atletic /David Ornstein, Sam Lee and even bigger outlets like Sky are less biased against city than r/soccer.

That’s my rant lol, good day.

  4. The Liverpool fan mod on that sub called me a toxic user and banned me but let’s hundreds of arsenal fans laugh at rodris injury

  5. Most people I know who have season tickets didn’t go because it cost like £25 for a game against Watford. Games like this are mostly for kids or when people go to their first game. Of the 6 people I sit with, 1 went. Should’ve been free for season ticket holders imo.

  6. Got banned for ranting about how football discussion is impeded in the sub because any valid points are met with jokes ON the rant thread

Mod then changed it to perma ban when I pointed out that their own personal biases are hindering the subs activities

  7. So many anti City pr everywhere. Is what it is. I just ignore them & enjoy City doing well. Been like that for a few years now. If City lose or draw because of bad reffing or cheating bs… that is way more frustrating than foolish other fans.

  8. Pretty sure I was banned for being of the opinion that I don’t care if we are found guilty or not because the feelings when Toure Scored Vs Stoke and United in the FA cup, Agueros 93:20, Kompany Vs LC, Battering Real 4-0 , The 3 goal come back Vs Villa or Rodri’s UCL Final Goal and much more are enough for me to never watch football again if City were wiped off the face of the earth after the trial 🤣.

  9. I watched the game last night. Crowd involvement for a relatively inconsequential game was good

You know all the chorus of fools on that sub never go to a game.

  10. When you’ve set history at 4 (& counting…) titles in a row, how loud do you expect the crowd to be for a tues., EFL match vs Watford?!…(& coming off my most exciting ‘draw’ probably ever as a City fan)!

  11. Don’t let it annoy you, it’s been like that for years and will stay this way. They all just post to try to convince themself what they want to believe. Do you think they really believe it themself if they post stuff like this? If anything, I’d bet United would be a lot louder at old Trafford than city were at the Etihad, because Watford is more their level these days.

  12. The FC Twente fans were great and we all joined in for a rendition of “if you hate man united clap your hands…”

  13. Just ignore r/soccer. You’ll be a lot happier for it. Why do you care what a load of armchair fans on the internet think about City?

  14. Comes with territory guys. People who are 30+ years old have an inherent hatred for Manchester United for the simple reason that they won all the time.
Also you have the added bonus of financial doping.
