The Marshall plan **funds** actually had very little impact on the German “Wirtschaftswunder”, it’s a common historical misconception cuz both happened at the same time, but the “Wirtschaftswunder” was **not** caused by the *Investments* of the Marshall Plan and it would have happened ~~anyways~~ without those too.

You know, if somebody would constantly lending money to a homeless drunk and expect him that he will pay everything back, you would assume that the lender was stupid. 😛
And people quest why the UK voted for Brexit

Rebuilding was stupid then, look what beautiful touristic ruins you would have now. It only shows the Greeks are smarter than you, and you pay them for that.

That’s because you lend them money with them having no plans to do anything productive with it. Germany had a solid macro-economics plan that made sense. Greece literally spends it in wine and hookers. And you kept giving more…
