  1. In the middle of Magherafelt we had union flags, Derry Gaa flags and pride flags flying from the same lamp posts a few years ago. Was a bit surreal.

  2. People will argue now over which one is higher up on the pole having more precedence over the other ๐Ÿ˜’

  3. Yeah so my last comment mightnโ€™tโ€™ve been written the best. I like the idea of it promoting peace personally but you just know some asshats would look at it and think itโ€™s trying to start something. Thatโ€™s what I meant, sorry lads.

Edit for context: my last comment was โ€œif youโ€™re looking to start something, sure.โ€ Not written the best at all, but the top is what I meant.

  4. Tbh I think itโ€™s a nice symbolism of peace between the two countries when their flags can exist on the same pole as each other. I am a dual national myself so both flags are personal to me. I have zero issue with this.

  5. Highly accurate of the nature of the defence relationship of the two states and indicative of the Home Rule mindset of the โ€œshared islandโ€ crowd.

  6. Union jack looks like a nicer design with all the intersecting lines and red, white and blue colour selection. No real thought has gone into the stripey one, would look nicer with a harp or even better a leprechaun winking smoking a pipe on a rocking chair.
