  1. If it doesn’t run at 320 km/h continuously like in Spain or France, it should not be called high speed. German trains are almost never high speed because Germans do not have a dedicated high speed rail network like in Spain, France, Italy and so on. On top of that, the newest ICEs can’t even reach 300 km/h anymore. Pathetic

  2. And in a few weeks the project will be terminated because the trains in Germany are too late and are no longer allowed to travel to France. Mark my words.

  3. 6 hours, unless there are leafs on the tracks, or it is too hot, or too cold, or too wet. And Mars and Jupiter have to be aligned,… and..

  4. I can already hear the German PSA for this Trainroute:

“ICE 28 Richtung Paris… Fällt heute aus, Grund dafür ist eine Störung an einer Weiche”

“ICE 28 Richtung Paris… Heute ca. 30 Minuten später”

  5. Running a TGV or ICE on conventional tracks doesn’t make it HSR. Average speed needs to be above 275km/h

  6. lets see how much the airplane tickets will increase in order to push people to use this line
(increase by some weird tax not by the airlines themselves)

  7. You got my hopes up with the 6h, thinking I could do Frankfurt Berlin in like 2h30m, but unfortunately not the case.

  8. Will cost minimum 120EUR roundtrip, when easyJet gets you there and back for 99 under two hours. I like trains, I would ride trains for the environment and convenience – but why the fuck these night jets from ÖBB are so expensive when at the same time I can have cheaper and faster flight? The ones I used even travel half-empty sometimes… They need to invest more in the business model and marketing departments.
