NATO’s Stoltenberg on His Tenure, Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine, Zelenskiy’s War Plan, China

Outgoing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reflects on his decade-long tenure as chief of the security organization, pinpointing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “the most decisive and important challenge” that the alliance faced. Speaking on Bloomberg Television, Stoltenberg also comments on President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s efforts to secure US backing for a “victory plan” and says China mustn’t be allowed to enable Russia’s “war of aggression.” Stoltenberg vacates the post on October 1 and will be replaced by former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

  1. ISW stated quite authoritatively that Vugledar lost its strategic importance tonight and the same fate awaits Pokrovsk, Dnipro, Kiev and Lviv. Zelenskyy is in DC begging for more money.

  2. As a European we can easily spend 3% on defense. We need to support Ukraine with or without the US, there is no alternative. And I am convinced that the US doesnโ€™t want to be isolated. World peace depends on alliances.

  3. Yugoslavia. A sovereign nation breaking apart same as Ukraine with minorities declare independence (Croatia, Slovenia). Why didn't we come to that sovereign states rescue but instead helping it fall apart? Cause it was runned by a political foe, thats why. So really if we were following our principles and have the same approach as with Yugoslavia we wouldn't be in conflict with Russia. We would support the minority's right to independence also in this case. But when it comes to Russian minorities we prefer suppression or repulsion. Quite thinkable at least.

  4. The issue is that the Republican party has sold out its own people to Russia. For Coin and Favor, under Trump. Republicans relationship with Russia, fully infiltrated by FSB

  5. dont hide and spread propaganda. Who toppled democratic elected president and put Zelensky there? What about Minsk agreement? UK and German ex minister revealed that the agreement is to delay and arm Ukraine for a future war. German FM also declared war on Russia 2 times in openly!
