  6. I don't understand Donald Trump's rhetoric that the US should withdraw support from Ukraine and force it to surrender to Russia. . Is he not aware of the United States promises to Ukraine in 1994? I am not sure members of Congress or the Media are. And no doubt Donald J would insist Putin be given immunity for his war crimes, for which an international arrest warrant has been issued.

    Back in the 1990s, Russia was friendly to the US back then, Ukraine had a huge nuclear arsenal. It took years of political manoeuvring and diplomatic work by the US, the UK and Russia, starting with the Lisbon Protocol in 1992, to remove all these weapons and nuclear infrastructure from Ukraine. In 1994, under the Massandra Accords, Ukraine eventually reluctantly committed to full disarmament, including strategic weapons, in exchange for the irrevocable undertaking of economic support and security assurances from the United States and Russia. All their vast nuclear arsenal, with the approval of the US, was handed over to Russia!.

    It was always thought that with such security assurances from the United States (and Russia), nobody would seriously contemplate waging war or invading Ukraine, with the US (and Russia?) having their back. Unfortunately, when Russia, by then a completely different political entity, effectively invaded Crimea in 2014 the US did not come to their aid, This was a huge mistake by the US. Many believe this failure by the US resulted directly in the current war, as Russia took the US's non reaction to the Crimea invasion as a sign of weakness and that the promises made by the US could be relied upon about as much as Russian ones to support Ukraine, could, and therefore they could invade Ukraine without consequences. Why it took so long for the US to get involved is a poor reflection on us. If anything, the US should be more involved instead of letting politicians try to override and welsh on its international commitments. Or are we telling the world that commitments on the world stage by one US administration are not binding on the next. That would be crazy. I

  26. If Ukraine doesn’t violate its covenants and doesn’t affaire with NATO membership, no war would happen ever. They knew the sequence. They were aware, if they will attend in NATO it’s a failure of the previous agreements. They have triggered Russia intentionally. The goal is get money and save it on offshore accounts.

  27. Ukraine never had a chance against Russia in the first place. The only person benefiting from this war right now is a greedy and cocky multi-billionaire Zelensky. Countless people died, cities destroyed, civilians living in constant fear and anguish, majority have fled their homeland – all because of Zelensky's naive and continues stubborness to accept Putin's deal offers that kept getting worse and worse with each rejection. The first deal Putin offered was relatively reasonable – a clear passage to Crimea and staying out of NATO – clueless Zelensky rejected the deal that ultimately led to a war. Russian government is a corrupt and evil dictatorship that treats it's citizens like dirt but you cannot lose a common sense. Russia wants war as wars are extremely profitable for the elites. Putin for now is playing a diplomatic game but his end goal is to start World War 3. Trump knows that and he is desperately trying to stop the pointless bloodshed and decimation of Ukraine. This war could have easily been avoided if Zelensky did not decide to sell his country.

  28. Totally immoral. Ukraine is not crushed and people are still trying to live their lives. Think of it this way America. What if Putin wanted Alaska back? Trump: OK, let's strike a deal…. Really, reward global aggressors with deals so territory is ceded?! Has the global alliance really broken down to worry about dollars spent and forget the need to protect democracy and freedom from such an autocratic leader? Pathetic!

  33. They are not dead, but destroyed, demolished, damned, desperate, decimated and decayed for generations. The puppet president had made them biggest beggars. They had a dirty war but instead of finding ways to resolve or negotiate, they dishonestly mislead the world to dig money with the corrupted bureaucrats around the globe, who're desperately need wars to stay in power and turned it into a deadly destructive democide by themselves, completely disregard lives of their own people. Homeless and country less, continue to steal and burn money like no tomorrow will never last.
