A Ukrainian drone pilot downed a rare Russian “Merlin”-type reconnaissance drone, landing a direct hit despite heavy EW interference. The downed drone has an estimated range of 600km and costs approximately $300,000.

  1. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are always in need of drones. If you want to support the Ukrainian drone units, then I recommend the Wild Hornets company, a non-profit-organization, which supplies many different drone teams directly with FPV drones and drone accessories. And this without major military contracts and without bureaucratic hassle. The company develops and produces its drones itself and all of this in Ukraine. Almost 70% of the individual components come from Ukraine. Only a small part still has to be imported. Every donation helps.

  2. Extremely annoying that they have the audacity to name them “Merlin”.

    Perhaps Ukraine should name a class of drones “Putin’s sore ass”, just for the headline value when they’re shot down.
