It’s a whole lot of nothing. They are not filing anything to the court, just writing a plain old “mielensäpahoitus” -letter to the chancellor of justice, who receives these letters thousands each day.
The curious part here is that the constitution actually has a clause about everyone having a responsibility towards the environment, which is kinda cool when you think about it — the relationship between the people and the nature is considered such a big deal that it’s enshrined in the constitution. I’m interested to see how this pans out (or doesn’t), there’s definitely some merit to the filing.
