I mean yeah. Even China is subsidizing their manufacturing.
Companies won’t build stuff unless the profit margin is *insane*.
Otherwise they just *buy* stuff. Rent seeking.
So it’s up to the gov’t to build the stuff… and then hand it to private companies to profit from.
I’m kinda sick of that. There’s been talk of a US Sovereign wealth fund and I’m thinking that’s the way to go. Stop handing out free money and invest instead.
