Well yes. It’s a pear tree not a pears tree.

I think it’s due to the wet weather we have had for the last few years. 3 years ago I had a bumper crop on all my trees, last year not a single pear and this year a few more conference pears but nothing on the other 2 trees I have growing in the garden.
The sweet pears are not fruiting much this year either. Apples are doing very well though, much better than last year.
And how many partridges?

Our apple tree managed two apples this year.
The same amount off my apple tree 2 years before I wanted to make cider it was dripping with the buggers.

I have to throw about 100-200 away from the apple trees in the back garden. Every year its a fight to get rid of the fallen apples before they attract all the insects and birds and pretty much everything. The neighbours pick a few and we make a crumble or two but theres so many. Next year im going to make a lot of cider. Ill make the press out of old wood and a car jack, something to do over winter.
Next year grow a pair
Once had a plum tree gifted to me by my neighbour and I prepped for a load of plums to grow, did everything he said and nothing. Nothing year, did the same and nothing, so I gave up.
In the 3rd year, with no action, they grew like mad and even though the birds and squirrels had taken some, we still got a good bunch! So keep it alive and have the patience of a saint.
That pear looks sexy
My neighbour gets loads. I always make sure to wake up early and get them before him. He’s complaining he didn’t get any this year too.
I haven’t had any apples this year, but last year I had hundreds. I think it might fruit every other year.

The weather was really terrible this year for growing fruit.
I think the warm weather came too late in the year.
