Tuv expired date

Hi, could you advise me the expired date for my tuv? Is it on December 2026?

I got a fine from my previous tuv which stated exactly like about, my previous tuv is year 24 and mark in December and November column, then today I got a letter saying my previous tuv is expired on Feb 2024.

Any advice/suggestions is very much appreciated.

Thanks

  1. August 2026. Top number is the month. So the number on top at “12 o clock”.

The Mark is always at Dez.

They are not making Different markers for every one. And from the marker you can easily See which month is on top, so which month it expires.

  2. Its the number on top. always. So in your case the 8th month of 2026. so August 2026.

the black thing with the white line is just to see the TÜV from a distance. for example when the Police wants to check if your TÜV is alright and they are driving behind you, they can just look where the Black stripe is located and thus can figure out when your TÜV is expiring.

  3. This „mark in December and November column“ is always marking the number 12 (i.e. the dark/black bit is around the 12). This provides an alternative way to read the month:

You can either look at which month is at the top (as others wrote) or you can look at the o‘clock position (think of a numbered clock face) of this black marker. As you can see in your example, it points at the 8 o‘clock position. And this „8 o‘clock“ corresponds to the 8th month (just like the number at the top). No matter which number is at the top, the marker (which is always around the 12) always points at the corresponding o‘clock position.

This can be read from a far greater distance (for example from a police car) than trying to see which number is at the top (and the year is inferred by the color, for distance reading).

  4. The last letter was probably from your mechanic as an advertisement, wasn’t it? Just got one 2 days ago. You don’t get an official one from the authorities.
