North Korea, accused of illegally supplying weapons to Russia, criticized the United States on Sunday for providing military aid worth USD 8 billion to Ukraine, calling it “an incredible mistake” and warning that it was akin to “playing with fire” against nuclear superpower Russia. The criticism follows US President Joe Biden’s announcement of the new aid package during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Washington. The package includes longer-range weapons, which are expected to enhance Ukraine’s ability to strike Russian targets from safer distances as Kyiv continues its efforts to defend itself.
