Theoretical names for all the urban conurbations in England and Wales.

You may as well include Preston in the ‘Lancashire Plain Conurbation’, given it’s also on the plain. It was also part of the Central Lancashire New Town, an partially-realised plan to develop the area between Preston and Chorley.
Preston, Blackburn, and Burnley effectively mark the northern limit of urbanised Lancashire, although the last two aren’t on the plain so you’d need a new name if you included them.
