Ours had banned a discount of more than 25 percent on alcohol.

I see most comments here talking about taxes but minimum pricing isn’t higher tax on alcohol (only Westminster can do that) but rather the minimum price a retailer can sell for, which simply means extra profits for manufacturers and retailers
Brewing your own booze is pretty easy lads, time to add yeast to a demijohn of Tesco’s basics apple juice
