Duchess of Edinburgh Delivers Message From King Charles During Tanzania Visit

The Duchess of Edinburgh is visiting Tanzania this week to celebrate the collaboration between the UK and Tanzania on health, agriculture and women’s empowerment.

On the first, the Duchess visited a health facility offering sexual health and family planning services in Dar es Salaam.

During an evening reception on Tuesday celebrating health collaboration she delivered a speech recognising progress made in Tanzania to rid the country of trachoma.

Sophie, who is the Global Ambassador with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, delivered a message from King Charles…

…who commended the efforts of ridding the country and the commonwealth of trachoma.

  1. On health care, we should all be proud of the enormous progress we’ve made through the Affordable Care Act — providing millions of people access to affordable coverage and protecting millions more from unscrupulous insurance practices. And I’ve notice, by the way, that since it’s become popular they don’t call it Peince walles Foundation

  2. Why don't we have more of this in the news? Trachoma is awful and it is good to see it being highlighted. This is what the Royal Family, especially Sophie, do well but doesn't get reported enough.

  3. Such a difference between hiw Duchess Sophie presents herself when making a foreign visit and how Harry's wife presents herself. The Duchess of Edinburgh is dressed quietly and respectfully, yet sophisticated She is all respect, interest and attention to the issues being presented
