  1. At least these few Americans aren’t just rolling over and giving up their pensions.

    It’s no coincidence that America’s highly unique decline in employer pensions closely tracks our unique plunge in union membership over the past 50 years.

    Meanwhile, union membership and pension plans remain far stronger in every other rich nation and many middle-income ones as well.

  2. Let’s see if Boeing gets to steal the pension. Can always fluff it off on some more socialism for the rich called the PBGC like GM did. Oh and labor gets about 30 cents on the $$.

    Isn’t free market [sic] capitalism just precious ?

  3. Is a pension really better than a 401k/IRA? You’re basically betting on 1 company vs the US economy. I see pros and cons of each but I don’t understand why you would simply think a pension is better.
