According to FlightRadar there’s 3 commercial planes headed for Tel Aviv currently just milling around in a holding pattern between Cyprus and Israel. Wouldn’t be surprised if they get sent to other countries.
From the BBCs live page, the sense is that the US administration won’t put as much pressure on Israel to hold back as last time in April.
So now a broader regional war. We don’t even know how this will proliferate.
Sitting in an apartment safe room at the moment. Had to pick up my not so little dog and enter the mamad as fast as I could. No idea where my cat is, probably hiding under a bed. There was also just a mass shooting in Jaffa. Two terrorists stepped off a train and started shooting, killing at least four and wounding fourteen or more. It’s not clear if the shooters had any knowledge of the Iranian attack — it could be a horrible coincidence.
I’m a Tel Avivian, there was a terror attack while alarms went off across the country, 2 gunmen murdered 8 and wounded many others, while the sky was filled with rockets, I was on my way home from work, and ran to shelter while the loud explosions were heard across the sky… really scary. I pray for the wounded and pray that the Iranian regime signed their own death sentences with this evil attack.
Iran has decided to open themselves up to direct attack from Israel in the week leading up to October 7th. You have to wonder if the Ayatollah really thought this through.
