Without even getting into the biggest problem which is his inability to adapt to different opponents. These players cannot play possession against top teams, even less so against Arsenal who are so good without the ball. If he continues to not adjust then we will continue to run into teams who can easily destroy his entire game plan.
Not to mention the horrible usage of Nuno or choosing the shortest line up possible or not hiring a set piece coach or benching Dembele for such a minor reason. We are not the first team to be the underdogs in a match, we can lose without being completely outclassed (or even win as an underdog) if the coaching is good enough.
It was a gamble with dembele but at least he made his own choice. It’s kind of on Doue imho to not have taken his chance to show himself way more. A lot of people were amazed at his talent but I watched the Jo and the amazing things were happening on the other side of the field.
Some could argue with a solid goalkeeper this game could have gone different. post Saint Germain strikes again too.
We reacted too late. And we were not given a pen for that rugby tackle on Marqui but whatever. A night to forget.
