Russian military blogger Fighterbomber on October 2, 2024 published a mourning note “Eternal flight, brother” with a photo of a Su-25, indicating that a Russian Su-25 was destroyed and the pilot did not survive. It is not known whether it was Ukrainian fire or an accident.

Honestly as much as I hate the Russians and besides the numerous (50+) crashes caused by bad maintenance and technical failures the su-25 is a pretty cool aircraft with a high arment capacity
