First Loss Of The Season. Thoughts On Today’s Match?

Laimer is not a defender, Guerrero had to play, gnabry was terrible and we lack a lot of creativity without musiala

This maybe unpopular opinion but defence was pretty good almost entire match with very quick Ball recovery. Surely attack let us down this time. Kept expecting a different/better result with the same gameplay when it was not working for Nth time.
Outside of headers kane doesn’t offer much. Hes not fast, easily predictable and against a competent defense kind of useless. For him to shine the others have to do all the work. Everyone knows where it’s doing. To him. That last free kick was his biggest opportunity.
Felt like last season to me. A lot of possession with semi meaningless ball movement and nothing threatening

Why didnt he bring muller if the attack was lacking?
since madrid and barca also have one loss, its not disastrous but Kane should have an assistant, he cant cut it against better defenses alone.
The loss will only help us to get stronger in future times
Impressions: 1. I hope Serge Gnabry handles confrontation better than me because I would have gone in a different dressing room at halftime. 2. Maybe it’s time to abolish the monarchy. 3. Manu didn’t get enough swearing airtime because I know he definitely at least screamed ‘ficken’ after that goal. 4. The AV goalkeeper’s haircut is the worst I’ve seen in all of UEFA and I formally apologize to Joshua Kimmich for everything I said about his

Kimmich can’t do a single good corner. Gnabry has 1 good game and 20 disastrous. I know what Neuer does but maybe in BL he shouldn’t play a CB 🙄 Subbing off Olise instead Gnabry was a big mistake. We need to use substitutes earlier. What can they do when they are brought up at the 88th minute?

Wtf Musiala and Guerrero didn’t start. Wtf Coman. Wtf gnabry on right wing and not Olise. Wtf these surprising changes. We complicated a rather simple match. Wtf. 😭
Being a couch coach and writing critics it’s really easy…. But……Constipated. Thats all. It reminds me of a meme after barca 7:0 anihilation “but we had ball possession”…. If we do not convert it’s futile. There are 18 year olds on youtube that have figured out the tactical analysis of Kompany. His wystem works if we score first. But one misplaced ball in the final third and we’r fucked. Unai played that gamble and it worked for them. I’m worried because this is the second straight constipation after Bayer. Both had less time on the ball, almost zero chances, but suddenly both were very, very lucky, and converted the only chance they’ve got. Not saying that we were bad at defending. Also have to admit that this kind of risky tactic keeps me at the edge of the seat and it’s really emotional to watch, but at the end we all want victories, right? What worries me the most is the amount of energy burned in two matches with (almost) zero goals. What’s in store for us in mid february??? And closing with a harroiwing prediction, what if everybody is so lucky as Bayer and AVila?
Lol we lost to BATE Borisov in our 12/13 treble season. If anyone thinks we need to implode over this they’re insane. The only critique I have is that we need more rotation in the squad. I’m all about finding the best XI, but we can’t wear out Kim, upa, Jamal, Harry, etc. in the beginning of the season. Plus the more players that get more game time (ie Sane, Tel, Palinha, Dier, Ito) means more fit players that are game ready, and willing to offer our starters more breaks to stay healthy. It’s not about winning every UCL game, it’s about maintaining a healthy and balanced squad until we can go all out in the knock outs. The reason o say all this is because the team looked tired, kompany ball is incredible but is incredibly fast paced and can take a toll on players over the course of a season, hence why Jamal didn’t start. If we can embrace rotation and stay healthy I have zero fear that we can’t win it all this year. Treble level team
Gnabry was not at his peek level. Musiala’s worst game I have seen in recent times. Kimmich did not have great passes crosses into the box. His passes in the final 3rd were not threatening.
