  1. Data and code: [https://plotly.com/~ChrisFerrie/49](https://plotly.com/~ChrisFerrie/49).

Make with the plotly package in Python.

Data from SSA ([https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/limits.html](https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/limits.html)) and Wikipedia ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_presidents_of_the_United_States](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_presidents_of_the_United_States)).

    Commentary here: [https://csferrie.medium.com/do-parents-name-their-babies-after-great-presidents-c396c485298c](https://csferrie.medium.com/do-parents-name-their-babies-after-great-presidents-c396c485298c)

  2. It is a little distracting that the name displayed is listed twice and one is out of sync.

I am really curious about the ones with spikes unrelated to the term of the presidency. Bill, Gerald, Ronald, Benjamin, and Chester.

  3. Love the data, hate the fact that the graph isn’t accurate during half the playback.
