The completely unacceptable brightness of the LED billboard by Chiswick Roundabout

I can see the glow from my bedroom at night, even though the light has to bounce three or four times to even reach my flat!

  1. Find out which company owns it (they usually have their name on it somewhere) and send them an email.
Most digital billboards are supposed to dim at night to prevent that. It might be that one is broken.
If they don’t resolve it, complain to the council on the basis it’s a nuisance etc.

  2. I got proper dazzled by one on the A3 a while ago, sent an angry email to the company and received a thank you/apology letter as someone had fucked with the brightness.

  3. I once took part in a campaign to block an LED billboard from being installed on a road near me. I think they’re dangerous and distract people from driving/cycling. It did a work, the planning permission got rejected.

    Me NIMBY now too. :flex:
