Ironic to say this on the sub, but any type of royalty should not exist in modern world. No matter how down to earth they pretend to be… looking at you Scandi royals. They are all freeloaders, buying designer stuff on our taxes, spending holidays on their private islands, receiving the best education despite not being upto merit, visiting poor in their helicopters and then waving to the masses shrouded in faux humbleness.
The party calling for this is the Reds. This is not a new point of view for them. It’s a Marxist party and also wants to withdraw from NATO and the EEA. They have like 4% of national votes. Yes, there are scandals now but this is misleading.
Don’t think the monarchy is the problem
I think the Marius Case read brought up how powerful the royal family is. Marius has been doing illegal shut on royal estate for years but the higher ups in government and police turned the other way because of the influence of Haakon and Mette Marit. What else are they using their powers to hide…?
