They complain when we ask for prison reform. They yell that people need harsher and longer sentences for increasingly minor crimes. Then they gaily dance about in their “I’m voting for the felon” shirts. The level of hypocrisy hurts my brain.
The problem is these people don’t digest news from anywhere but their echo chamber. Either they don’t trust other outlets due to North Korean level propaganda, they don’t even see the reporting because they spend too much time working and just regularly tune into their only source of news they have been using, or they are being purposely ignorant. It doesn’t help that YouTube/FB algorithm feed them more BS
As a child, I obsessed about how my Nazi grandparents could ever have supported Hitler. But the last ten years living in the United States has been extremely instructive. An ignorant electorate is so easily manipulated by a shallow conman.
