  1. Seems to be some dutch private label stuff made by Oettinger. So not a thing here…

  2. I am wondering. Is there any German beer sold in Germany which has the word “Lager” written on it? A am not aware of any.

  3. I love how the label is composed of stereotypical German stuff that is totally unrelated:

    * Karolinger a family of rulers which where important like a 1000 years ago, but their center was more in France than in Germany
    * “Ruhrstadt” a proposed metropolis in the Ruhrgebiet that never came into existence
    * a girl in a traditional dress that would fit more into Bavaria or Austria

Overall it’s a beer from a brewery known for producing cheap beer for the mass market to be sold for even cheaper on the Easter European market.

  4. It says “Ruhrstadt”, “Lager” and shows a girl in a skimpy Dirndl. It tries so much to be German that it isn’t at all.

  5. doesn’t look like german beer to me, more like “it’s german beer, trust me bro”

  6. on untapped it says it’s brewed in Bayern… but all the reviews are in some cyrillic texts- so maybe it’s just an export beer?

  7. It’s Oettinger

Something is not right, the exporter has a gmail address lol, it claims to be brewed in Moenchengladbach but belongs to a dutch company, which also doesn’t list the beer at their page

    Apparently it exports to russia..?

  8. It’s produced by Oettinger (cheap low class beer brand) for the Russian market. One more reason to skip every Oettinger product!
