  3. Let’s see how little our justice system gives this criminal. Average for rape is 9 years, so out in 4, and the average for murder is 16, so out in 8. For a grand total of 12 years served. Plus who cares if he is statistically likely to do it again when he is out.

    That’s my guess.

  8. Crimes like this should have a like for like punishment. Lock him in a cell with a few beefy men to treat him exactly as he treated her.

  13. Why do we not have capital punishment for cases like this one? Killed a person and ruined three kids’ lives by taking their mum from them…

    Do we really believe that someone like this can serve their time and change, after coming of prison? Or is the cycle just going to keep repeating itself…

  15. How is the atmosphere surrounding this incident? There was a Despicable murder-rape in Australia during the 80s. Every Australian knows the name of Anita Cobby.
