Like what can we actually do? The one thing we did good (cars) is not working anymore.
And things surely wont improve, because we don’t really like change around here.
The solution would be seriously engaging in countercyclical policy for once.
But we have an economic miracle due to the transformation in green energy, at least according to Scholz.
It is not exactly surprising to me. Heavier emphasis on job and social security sometimes stifles productivity. It create inefficiencies and slow down innovation, particularly in sectors that need to modernize quickly.
I am not sure how Germany will solve this.
China announced stimulus package and Fed in US started to lower interest rates, both of the measure will increase demand for German products in short term.
