Thai police on Wednesday said they were investigating whether the school bus fire that killed 23 young students and teachers in suburban Bangkok was caused by negligence after filing initial charges against the driver. The fire on the bus carrying six teachers and 39 elementary and junior high school students on Tuesday spread so quickly many were unable to escape.

  1. Shame on Samarn Chankut the bus driver he chose to save his own life rather than the young students and teachers on board, this is a big mistake for the bus driver this is horrible😠

RIP to all young students and teachers🕊️

  2. Should be no fieldtrips! Some of schools let the parents come with the their children and a school bus has a lot of exits poor kids 😢 i cant imagine the feeling of their parents imm cryingggg Fly high angels 😢

  3. I HATE how the Bus Driver left the children to suffer. What a disgusting human being. This also reminds me of the Sewol Ferry Tragedy where that coward captain left the 350 students to die.

  4. u should see how they drive in thailand especially big city like bangkok. it's straight tailgating, barely any space. it's scary. it's no wonder people die so much from car accident there. learn how to drive thailand. then again women outnumber men 4 to 1 there so pretty much it's a bunch of chicks driving crazy lol

  5. As wonderful as Thailand is it's corruption throughout the government that keeps it in a 3rd World status! Stop using "Safety First as a slogan and start using it as a policy!

  6. .. the driver had lost braking power and control of the bus, hitting a car and razed the road concrete barriers that damaged fuel/gas canisters and caused the sparks that started the fire.
When the fire first started the driver got off the bus and ran towards another bus( convoy of 3 buses) at some distance away to get a fire extinguisher .. by the time that he got back, the bus is already an razing inferno .. he then fled to a relative's house, maybe wishing that he could turn himself into a bird and fly away to Shangri-La
.. he should first have had the door opened and get the people out asap .. too bad that his legs is quicker than his brain

  7. Was was not a shock to me. I am a Diesel mechanic. Went on vacation to Thailand and Laos with my wife’s family. I took a pic of a Bus with a 4 inch split in the steering wheel tires in Thailand. Sent it back to my managers in the USA. I saw so many unsafe vehicles. I forced myself to stop looking. Thailand never has cared… Cng tanks are suppose to be high up on the back of the bus….

  8. They did not check the tires, maybe it was used for a long time. How this happen, how the driver gets out if the door is closed.human move faster than fire if only the door is open.
